South America – Bolivia – La Paz – Cafe Vida

Fully Vegan Café near San Francisco Square

After looking up the must do places in La Paz, Bolivia we decided to check out the San Francisco Square.  I like to know in advance if there are any vegan places to eat close by and be prepared.  The Square sits in front of the San Francisco Cathedral and the Lanza Market.  It is a major urban plaza where social & political gatherings take place along with protests and street art.  We were lucky enough to witness some amazing street dancers when we first went.

Smoothie Bowl & Green Juice

Just a short distance from San Francisco Square sits a lovely little vegan café.  We have actually visited this café on a couple of occasions and it always seems to be busy.  There is a lunch menu for 35bob (roughly £3.50) which includes your choice of hippie bowl and all you can eat soup, bread and tea.  They have quite a varied menu so you should always find something that you like.

I have tried their Hippie Bowls and Smoothie Bowls and have been pleasantly surprised by both.

All their smoothies are made there and then and you can even have a super Green Juice which includes spinach, ginger, cucumber & apple.  Great nutrients for the body.

Vegan Sweet Treats

At Café Vida you can find guilt free desserts which seem to change on a daily basis so there will always be something new to try.

They have indoor and outdoor seating and also a couch at the back for chilling out.  They also provide free Wi-Fi.

Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
