Bucket List

It is extremely important to know what you want out of life and to be specific.  So here is my bucket list.  I am continuously working on this and will update it as and when they have been achieved.

It is important to have goals in your life for your personal growth and career aspirations, but we also need to have goals for fun.  What are you waiting for?  Make a Bucket List too.  Let me know what is on yours, perhaps we can inspire each other.

Bungee Jumping

This was the very first tick off my Bucket List .  Jumping off the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough, UK, was by far the hardest thing that I have ever done.  Imagine actually having to throw yourself off a bridge.  However, it was the most fun and exhilarating activity I have participated in.  Very highly recommended.

Company: I don’t believe the company we used is still running.  However, I do fully recommend UK Bungee Club.  I won a competition for a reverse bungee jump and this was the company that provided the activity.  Not quite as scary as the full jump but still extremely fun.

Completed: 2011

Bungee Jumping in UK

Sky Diving

To my surprise Sky Diving was no where as near as scary as Bungee Jumping.  I think that is because a lot of it is out of your control.  At the end of the day you are strapped to a professional who is jumping out of that plane.  You don’t really have to do anything but enjoy the ride down.  I must admit the feeling of that first freefall is something else.  If you like your adrenaline high then sky diving is a must.

Company: Skydive Northwest.  If you are in the UK Skydive Northwest have a great skydive available over the Lake District which is such a marvellous view

Completed: 2011

Wing Walking

Ok, who wouldn’t want to be strapped to the top of a small plane while doing some loops?  Just me then.  I actually went through a stage of searching for ‘wing-girl’ jobs….so if your hiring, I’m your girl.  This has been on the list for a long time.

Appear on TV

Not many people may know this but I did actually appear on a TV Gameshow.  You may not know because if you blinked you would have missed me.  Unfortunately me and my sister didn’t get very far.  The day however was such a fun experience.  I certainly got a taste for my hair and makeup being done. I haven’t revised that hard since I was in school!

Company: Pointless, BBC

Completed:  2012

Complete one of those crazy muddy obstacle courses

I am not actually entirely sure why I wanted to complete one of these.  I kept seeing them advertised and I totally blame it on peer pressure.  It was cold, muddy, exhausting and muddy.  It was fun though, and if you go in a group then you can really embrace teamwork and just have a laugh and enjoy yourself.

Company: Gelt Gladiator (but there are so many to choose from)

Completed: Twice! 2015 (5k)  & 2016 (10k)

Work with Animals & Travel Alone

I managed to tick two things off my Bucket List when I went to Africa.  I stayed for two weeks, volunteering at a lion sanctuary.  It was life changing in more ways than one.  I am now more educated and would not make the same decisions again.  You can read about my time alone in Africa here.

Company: I couldn’t hand on heart recommend working so closely with wild animals again.

Go to Rio and see Christ the Redeemer

I’m not a religious person but this had been on my list for quite some time.  I think I have just seen one to many movies based in Rio.  I purposely added Rio to my itinerary so I could see this amazing site.  Yes, it is as busy as it looks.  Check out my blog on Rio.

Company:  We used Viator to get our passes which saved us a lot of hassle.

Completed: 2018

Pyramids

I desperately want to go and see the pyramids in Egypt and Mexico.

Machu Picchu

This should hopefully get completed in May 2018.

Easter Island

This is something I didn’t know I even wanted to do until I looked into it.  As we were going South America my partner had mentioned about going to Easter Island.  Once I started looking into it I knew I had to go.  I cannot recommend this amazing little beauty of an island enough.  If you are into your conspiracy theories then even better.  How(!?) did they move them massive structures across that island?

Completed: 2018

Company: We planned the trip ourselves but camped at Camping y Hostal Tipanie Moana

The Maldives

Who doesn’t want to go to the Maldives.  As I keep hearing the Maldives will be submerged in the near future I really need to get my skates on.

Roswell & Area 51

I’m sure by now you are getting the picture that I am a conspiracy nut.  Do you think aliens landed?

Grand Canyon

This is another long term bucket list item but hopefully I will be able to achieve this on my 2018 travels.

Sleeping in an igloo under the Northern Lights

I have always wanted to go and see the Northern Lights but if you go you might as well stay in an igloo.

Learn to surf

By ‘surf’ I mean when they lie down on the board of course.

Fly Business Class

Not just slightly upgraded.  I want to experience the crazy world of Business Class (where you have beds!)

This list is not exhaustive, I have only just got started.  I will be adding to it.  However, above all, my biggest Bucket List goal is to educate as many people as I can on the benefits of a vegan diet.  I want to help people to live a healthy and happy life…..oh and I also want at least 10 animal sanctuaries.

What are your bucket list goals?
